A stronger S9 SiP
The new S9 SiP from Apple powers the Apple Watch Ultra 2. The S9 boasts improved performance thanks to a 60% faster CPU and 30% faster GPU than the previous model.
Additionally, Apple's most recent quad-core neural engine is included in the S9 processor. This makes on-device Siri replies and dictation quicker and more accurate.
Sharper, more vibrant display
A better display with a maximum brightness rating of 3000 nits was installed in the Ultra 2 by Apple. This is a 50% improvement over the first-generation Ultra's screen brightness.
It's the brightest display an Apple Watch has ever had, according to Apple. Better visibility in poor lighting is made possible by the increase in brightness and clarity.
Enhanced Depth and Endurance
Apple claims that the Ultra 2 can have up to 72 hours of battery life between charges with new low-power modes. By doing this, the watch is better able to keep up with adventurous activities.
The Ultra 2 is also certified for recreational freediving and scuba diving down to a depth of 40 meters. Each diving session's details are logged in the new Depth app.
Prioritize sustainability
As part of its sustainability goals, Apple highlighted the usage of 100% recycled cobalt in the Ultra 2's batteries. The business also declared that, in an effort to reduce carbon emissions, leather will no longer be used for Apple Watch bands and other items.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 aspires to be the best durable smartwatch for tough conditions and outdoor activities with significant advancements like the faster S9 SiP, brighter and sharper display, and sophisticated tracking features.
